Torrence (T.L) Riggs November 07, 1921 – July 21, 2016
Torrence (T.L) Riggs, 94, of Collinsville took his heavenly flight Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa surrounded by his loving family. Torrence was born on November 7, 1921 in Coffeyville, KS to Orville and Bessie Riggs.
Torrence honorably served his country in the United States Army, 103rd Infantry in Europe during WWII. He was a life member of the Local VFW 3077. On June 28, 1941, Torrence married Lila Edith Loggan. Together they raised 3 rowdy boys. Torrence worked for American Airlines as an Aircraft Mechanic for over 27 years, retiring in 1983. Torrence and Edith were faithful members of the Collinsville Baptist Tabernacle for over 60 years.
Torrence was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Edith Riggs; his son, Don Riggs; his great-grandson, Keaton Horner; parents and brother, Carrol H. Riggs.
Torrence is survived by his sons, Gary L. Riggs and wife Dee and Carrol E. Riggs all of Collinsville. Granddaughters Teri Horner and husband Tracy, daughters Christin and Logan of Claremore; Tina Schmauss and husband Mike, daughter Brittni and son Brandon; Toni Thomson and husband Brandon, daughters Paige, Morgan, and Camden; Christy Webb and husband Travis; Stacy VonSchriltz, daughter Elizabeth and son Gunther, all of Collinsville; sister Shirley Riggs of Tulsa and a host of family and friends.

Services for Torrence are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at Collinsville Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Charles Modrell officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville.
