P HentyPeggy Jean Henry, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Tulsa, Oklahoma after a brief illness. Peggy was born on January 13, 1932 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to her parents, Gertrude Ellen and Jesse Marshall Chambers. She married her high school sweetheart Edmond Eugene Henry on October 25, 1948. Together they shared 53 years of marriage until his death in 2002.

     Peggy is also preceded in death by her eldest daughter Norma Jean, son-in-law Stace Spradlin, brother Marshall Chambers and sisters Betty Odom and Gertrude Dickerson.

     She is survived by sister Verba. Her surviving children include: Loretta Wellhouson, Douglas Henry, Sue McClintock (Dennis), Delia Bookout (Stan), Marsha Vineyard (David), Ginger Sneed (Mark), David Henry (Mitzi), and Jessica Spradlin. Also, fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

     Peggy made a public declaration of her dedication, faith, and love for Jehovah God by her baptism on January 12, 1958. She was well known for her strong faith, never wavering under trial- she remained faithful throughout her life. She entered her deep sleep with the knowledge that death is simply a comma in the sentence of life.
