Mary June Galipp Feb 02, 1968 – Jan 07, 2018
Mary June Bethel-Galipp, aged 49, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 7, 2018. Mary was born February 2, 1968 in Oklahoma City, OK to Gordon and Gaileen (Wilson) Bethel. She was the youngest child and only daughter in the family and was the light of her parent’s life. Growing up, Mary was heavily involved with her youth group at Southern Oaks United Pentecostal Church and became a sister, mother, daughter and granddaughter to her great church family. Although Mary did not have children, she was a “Mom” to many of the church kids and to her friend’s kids. She also loved her nephews and nieces dearly. She was “Mimi” to them and doted on them and spoiled them as much as she could.
Later in life, Mary moved to Claremore, OK and met and married, Mike Galipp. While living in Claremore, she attended Westwood Pentecostal Church and found another church family that became extended family to her. Over the past five years, as Mary’s health began to fail, she had two main caregivers, Mike and her good friend, Diann Tisdale. We are eternally grateful for the blessing these two have been to Mary.
Mary is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Bethel, her mother, Gaileen Bethel and her grandparents on both the Bethel and Wilson sides of the family.
