On Thursday June 15th, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma unveiled the world’s largest Bow Tie at the Cox Business Center.
Tulsa, OK – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma (BBBSOK) unveiled the world’s largest bow tie (photo attached) on Thursday June 15, 2017 at The Next Big Thing benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma. Made out of wood and featuring the Tulsa Skyline and the logos of several sponsors and community partners: Tulsa Area United Way, McElory Manufacturing, AAON, The George Kaiser Family Foundation, the Zarrow Family Foundation are all featured prominently on the 16.5 feet long, 7.5 feet tall bowtie created by The Two Guys’ Bow Tie Company. Tim Palsay, co-founder of the local company, didn’t take much convincing when asked to build the world’s largest bow tie. “We love building and making out of this world things, so it doesn’t take a whole lot to persuade us to build a one of a kind piece like this. When we found out it was for an incredible organization that contributes so much to the young people of our community, the only question we had was, ‘How big do you want it to be?’”
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma worked with Tulsa area companies, including TPC Studios, to both promote and execute this brand new Tulsa event. Proceeds from the event support BBBSOK’s one-to-one mentoring programs in Tulsa. BBBSOK impacts disadvantaged individuals by helping them reach their potential.
