Accident Near Avant Injures Two
Oklahoma Highway Patrol is reporting a collision occurred at 10:22pm April 7, at County Road 2255 at SH11 intersection (1/10 of a mile North of Avant) in Osage county.
A 2009 Ford Escape driven by Ashley L. Gay, age 22 of Ochelata was north bound on County Road 2255 when she failed to stop for a stop sign at SH 11. Gay then crossed SH11, departed roadway to the right impacting a ditch, then ran through a barbed wire fence coming to rest in 2-3 feet of water in a pasture. She was transported by Samaritan EMS to St. John hospital in Tulsa and admitted in stable condition with head, arm and leg injuries.
Her passenger, Aston Cole Odell, 27, of Collinsville, was transported by Skiatook EMS to St. Johns hospital in Tulsa and admitted in stable condition with head injuries.
