TULSA, Okla. –
Over the span of seven decades, Deep Purple has helped define the hard rock genre, and now they’re bringing “The Long Goodbye Tour” to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa on Sept. 21.
Tickets start at $79.50 and go on sale May 10.
Known as one of the hardest-working bands ever, Deep Purple has sold more than 100 million albums and toured globally with little rest since forming in 1968. With nearly two dozen albums under its belt, the band has released some of rock’s most iconic hits like “Smoke on the Water,” “Hush,” “Kentucky Woman,” “Woman From Tokyo” and “Burn.”
Since 1996, the band has released six studio albums. They’ve toured the world nearly every single year, including a whopping 40 dates in France in 2007 and a recent partnership with fellow hard rockers Judas Priest on a 25-city tour in 2018.
Respected British radio station Planet Rock named the group the “5th Most Influential Band Ever” and VH1 ranked them #22 on its Greatest Artists of Hard Rock list. Additionally, Deep Purple was given the Legend Award at the 2008 World Music Awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
