Collinsville Man Injured in Saturday Afternoon Accident

07/29/2017 – Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a personal injury collision occurred 7-29-17 at approximately 3:15pm  on SH10 at Oaks Rd 1.3 miles east and 16 miles north of Tahlequah, OK in Cherokee County.

A 2004 Ford F-150 was being driven by Daniel Martin Kittelson age 38, of Collinsville, OK. He was not injured.

Passengers:

1: Dawn Kittelson,  age 42, of Collinsville, OK. Not injured.

2: Brandi Herdesty , age 38, of Catoosa, OK. Not Injured.

4: Amy Haun, , age 38 of Kenosha, WI. Not injured.

5: Casey Haun, , age 38 of Kenosha, WI. Not injured.

6: Name Withheld, juvenile male. Not injured.

7: Jeffery Daniel Jones, age 44, of Collinsville, OK.  was transported by FirstFlight to St. Francis in Tulsa where he was admitted in stable condition for head injuries.

What Happened:  The truck was northbound on SH10. Passengers 5, 6, and 7 were sitting on the tailgate. A canoe fell off the truck. Passenger 7 tried to stop the canoe from falling, causing him to fall off the truck and strike his head on the pavement.
