The Oklahoma State Department of Education will hold its 2017 Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 19, in the Blue Room on the second floor of the Oklahoma State Capitol. The group was formed by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister to provide a forum for student voices and concerns.
 
Ninety-seven students from across the state were chosen to participate in the council. All members of the council were nominated by the superintendents of their districts and will come to the meeting prepared to discuss their top concerns for public education in Oklahoma.
