A $7.2 million project to rehabilitate four bridges along the southeast corner of the Inner Dispersal Loop in downtown Tulsa is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017. While there are no closures expected on Tuesday, drivers should still plan now for delays and detours in this area over the next year.
The following bridges will have various closures throughout the project and include:
- The northbound US-75/eastbound US-64/SH-51 off-ramp to northbound US-75
- The southbound US-75 off-ramp to southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51
- The Cincinnati Ave. bridge over US-75/US-64/SH-51
- The eastbound US-64/SH-51 on-ramp from 8th St.
The project will replace bridge joints and also repair areas of the decks and superstructures. Drivers can use I-244 on the west and north legs of the IDL as detours around the highway ramp closures.
The overall project is expected to complete in early 2018, weather permitting.
