Christmas Travel Construction Update from ODOT

Statewide

 I-40 narrowed at SH-30 near Erick, Beckham Co.

I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between SH-30 (mm 7) near Erick and US-283 near Sayre for bridge and pavement rehabilitation.

I-40 narrowed in McIntosh Co.

I-40 is narrowed to one lane in each direction from two miles west of Tiger Mt. Rd. (mm 246) to one mile west of Pierce Rd. (mm 254), between Henryetta and Checotah in McIntosh County for pavement rehabilitation.

 

US-69 narrowed near McAlester, Pittsburg Co.

US-69 is narrowed to one lane each direction from SH-63 north to McAlester for resurfacing.

 

US-69 narrowed near Savanna, Pittsburg Co.

Southbound US-69 is narrowed to one lane between Savanna and Kiowa for resurfacing.

SH-22 closed at the Blue River east of SH-48, Bryan Co.

SH-22 is closed at the Blue River 1.5 miles east of the SH-48 junction for a bridge rehabilitation project.

US-64 narrowed near Roland, Sequoyah Co.

Westbound US-64 is narrowed to one lane near Roland at the Oklahoma/Arkansas state line for bridge rehabilitation.

 

US-64 narrowed over SH-165 (Peak Blvd), Muskogee Co.

North and southbound lanes of US-64 are narrowed to one lane each direction at Peak Blvd. in Muskogee for bridge rehab.

SH-16 narrowed to one lane at SH-62, Muskogee Co.

SH-16 is narrowed to one lane with traffic signals, just east of SH-62 (Jamesville Y) for interchange work.

 

SH-51 and US-177 narrowed in Stillwater, Payne Co.

SH-51 (Sixth St.) is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Monroe St. and Perkins Rd. (for city sewer project & ODOT bridge work) and US-177 (Perkins Rd.) is narrowed to one lane in each direction at SH-51 in Stillwater for bridge and intersection reconstruction.

SH-51 narrowed near SH-18, Payne Co.

SH-51 is narrowed to one lane in each direction, with the use of temporary traffic signals, 2 miles east of SH-18 for a bridge rehabilitation project.

 

SH-51 narrowed near SH-74, Logan Co.

SH-51 is narrowed to one lane in each direction, with temporary traffic signals, 3.5 miles east of SH-74 for bridge work.

 

US-283 narrowed near Altus, Jackson Co.

US-283 is narrowed to one lane with flaggers from one mile south of SH-5 extending north near Altus for resurfacing.

 

US-75 narrowed near Okmulgee, Okmulgee Co.

US-75 is narrowed to one lane in each direction between Henryetta and Okmulgee for pavement rehabilitation.

 

SH-19 closed at SH-115, Kiowa Co.

SH-19 is closed between SH-115 and SH-58 near Saddle Mountain for bridge rehabilitation. Traffic is detoured at SH-115 to SH-9 to SH-58.

 

US-412 narrowed near US-69, Mayes Co.

US-412 is narrowed to one lane in each direction west of the US-69 junction near Chouteau for a bridge rehabilitation project.

 

US-412 narrowed near Inola, Rogers Co.

US-412 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at the Verdigris River west of Inola for a bridge rehabilitation project.

 

SH-38 closed near Jet, Alfalfa Co.

SH-38 is closed over the Salt Fork of Arkansas River 9 miles north of the US-64 junction near Jet for bridge rehabilitation. Traffic is detoured on US-64 to SH-132 to SH-11.

 

US-54 narrowed between Optima and Hooker, Texas Co.

US-54 is narrowed to one lane in each direction at Pony Creek between Optima and Hooker for bridge replacement.

Oklahoma City Metro

 

I-240 lane, ramp closures at Shields Blvd.

I-240 is narrowed to two lanes in each direction between Santa Fe Ave. (mm 3A) and I-35 (mm 4) for ongoing I-35/I-240 Crossroads interchange reconstruction.. The eastbound I-240 off-ramp to Shields Blvd. and the westbound I-240 on-ramp from Shields Blvd. are permanently closed. Drivers must use the on/off ramps at Santa Fe Ave.

Lindsey St. bridge, ramps at I-35 closed in Norman

The Lindsey St. bridge over I-35 and all I-35 on- and off-ramps at Lindsey St. in Norman are closed for interchange reconstruction. Drivers are detoured to SH-9 East. Southbound I-35 traffic exiting to SH-9 East now uses the loop ramp south of Lindsey St.

 

Tulsa Metro

 US-169/36th St. North bridge project; lane, ramp closures

As part of a bridge rehabilitation project at the US-169/36th St. North interchange, which is scheduled for overall completion in late spring 2017:

  • The cloverleaf ramps on north and southbound US-169 to and from the 36th St. North bridge are closed. The longer ramps will remain open at the interchange as a detour. Delays can be expected on the frontage roads and drivers should consider an alternate route.
  • 36th St. North is narrowed to one open lane in each direction until further notice.

As part of an ongoing bridge rehabilitation project, scheduled for overall completion in early 2018:

  • The westbound I-244/southbound US-75 off-ramp to 21st St. (mm 3B) is closed until further notice.
  • The east and westbound lanes of the 23rd St. bridge over I-244/US-75 are narrowed to one lane in each direction until further notice.

US-75/US-64/SH-51 bridge projects on Inner Dispersal Loop

As part of an ongoing bridge rehabilitation project along the south leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop, delays can be expected especially during peak travel times:

  • All lanes of Cheyenne Ave. and Boston Ave. are closed over the south leg of the Inner Dispersal Loop until further notice.
  • Northbound US-75/eastbound US-64/SH-51 and southbound US-75/westbound US-64/SH-51 (south leg IDL) are narrowed to two open lanes in each direction until further notice.

 

SH-51 narrowed west of SH-97 junction

SH-51 is narrowed to one lane in each direction and a wide load restriction in place about 6 miles west of the SH-97 junction for surface repairs.

 

US-75 narrowed to one lane at SH-67

US-75 is narrowed to one lane in both directions 5 miles south of the SH-67 junction over North Duck Creek for bridge replacement.
