Broken Arrow Man Dies in Wednesday Morning Accident

 

12/01/2021 – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a personal injury collision occurred 12/01/2021 at approximately 01:03 AM, on I-44 westbound near 165th East Ave in the city limits of Catoosa, in Rogers County.

Tony Wright, 43 of Broken Arrow was traveling westbound and for unknown reason departed the roadway and struck a 2005 Toyota Highlander, abandoned on outside shoulder of I-44. He was pinned for unknown amount of time and extricated by Catoosa Fire Department using an extrication tool. Wright was transported by Pafford to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK and admitted in critical condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, upper and lower limb injuries.  He later died as a result of his injuries at 4:24 AM.
