Ft. Gibson: February 10. Elevation above normal, water 46 and less than 1 ft. clarity. Largemouth bass slow on jigs and rogues around creek channels, main lake and points. Blue and channel catfish good on shad around channels and flats. Snagging for paddlefish continues to be productive for boaters trolling in deep water along the main river channel. A few paddlefish are also being caught below the dam. Texoma: February 7. Elevation normal, water 49 and muddy. Striper fishing is still tough but is slowly picking up speed and getting better. Anglers targeting striped bass should fish the west end of the lake near Willis. Live bait and dead-sticking have been productive methods. Recent information from ODWC fisheries division showed good numbers of healthy striped bass from 18-26 inches so spring fishing should be great. Blue catfish good on cut bait and shad below the dam, around river channel and river mouth. Blue cats are still being caught by jug lining with fresh-caught bait and bigger baits are producing bigger fish. Report submitted by Trey Hale, game warden stationed in Marshall County.
