Broken Arrow Main Street improvements ease northward

Main Street improvements in The Rose District continue northward to Elgin and Detroit Streets as the Downtown Main Street Streetscapes– Phase V project progresses.

“We are improving landscapes and irrigation as well as sidewalks and parking,” said Construction Division Manager Timothy Robins, PE.

This stretch of roadway is directly in front of the Milestone project, the 120,000 square foot development that will be four-stories tall, with 90 residential units and 31,000 square feet of commercial space.
Downtown Main Street Streetscapes- Phase V is more than halfway complete with improvements on the west side of the street underway.

Construction on the east side of the street will begin in early 2020.
“Similar improvements will be completed along the east and west portions of Elgin and Detroit Street,” Robins said.
Downtown Main Street Streetscapes– Phase V is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2020 and will coincide with the opening of the Milestone project. The cost to complete the project will be $1.9 million.
