Grammy-nominated Doug Stone brings talents to Tulsa Aug. 21

TULSA, Okla. (April 9, 2024) — Known for his storytelling of heartaches and triumphs, legendary country artist Doug Stone is set to take the stage at Hard Rock Live, located inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $15 and go on sale April 12.

With hits like “A Jukebox and a Country Song” and “Too Busy Being in Love,” Stone dominated the country music scene throughout the 1990s. Despite health setbacks, including quadruple bypass surgery, Stone’s determination never wavered. His resilience extended beyond music, as he ventured into acting with roles in films like “Gordy” and “When the Storm God Rides.”

Stone’s talent and resilience culminated in a partnership with Epic Records in his thirties, leading to the release of his self-titled debut album in 1990. His debut album skyrocketed with chart-topping singles like “I’d Be Better Off (In a Pine Box)” and “In a Different Light,” earning him critical acclaim and a Grammy Award nomination. His subsequent albums, including “From the Heart” and “More Love,” solidified his status as a country music icon, with multiple platinum and gold certifications.

Now after over three decades in the industry, Stone continues to captivate audiences nationwide with his timeless hits and newfound sobriety. Stone remains a beacon of pure country talent and inspiration after his latest acoustic release in 2022.
