Country songwriters A Thousand Horses head to Tulsa Oct. 6

TULSA, Okla. (Sept. 25, 2023) – A Thousand Horses hits the stage for a free concert at Track 5. located inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa Friday, Oct. 6, at 9 p.m.

With a history deeply rooted in southern rock, classic country and Americana, A Thousand Horses stands as an inspiration of creativity and authenticity in the music industry.

Founded by guitarist Bill Satcher and frontman Michael Hobby, along with bassist Graham DeLoach and former guitarist Zach Brown, A Thousand Horses embarked on a transformative journey back in the summer of 2021. Seeking to recapture their original spirit and unity, the band retreated to a Texas farmhouse, where they spent three days writing songs on the front porch with no agenda. The result was the soul-stirring track “Highway Sound,” the catalyst for their upcoming album, “The Outside.”

As A Thousand Horses expands upon their debut album, “Southernality,” renowned for its chart-topping single “Smoke,” the band has entered a new phase. With the establishment of their own label, Highway Sound Records, they ventured to release their sophomore album, “Broken Heartland,” in 2022, featuring prominent tracks like “When I Hear Your Name,” “Another Mile” and “Never Liked the Rain.” Acknowledged for their dynamic live performances, the band has graced the stage with iconic acts, including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Darius Rucker, Jason Aldean, Kid Rock and more. “Highway Sound” serves as an emblem of A Thousand Horses’ bold artistic development, personifying their commitment to pushing musical boundaries.
