NORTHEAST

 

Eucha: August 13. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 85°F and murky. (USGS Lake Level) Largemouth bass good on buzz baits, plastic baits, rogues, spinnerbaits, and topwater lures around coves, shallows, and shorelines. Crappie slow on minnows around brush structure. Bluegill, green, and redear sunfish good on minnows around shallows. Report submitted by Hank Jenks, game warden stationed in Delaware County.

 

Fort Gibson: August 13. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 90°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, jigs, spoons, topwater lures, and worms around coves, docks, points, and riprap. Blue catfish good on chicken liver, cut bait, shad, and sunfish around channels, coves, and points. White bass good on crankbaits, in-line spinnerbaits, plastic baits, and spoons around channels, main lake, and points. Comments: Fish brush structure in deeper water for crappie, around 15 ft. Still getting reports of triple-digit Paddlefish being caught in the main lake. The humps at North and Long Bays are producing crappie, bass, and black bass. Starting to see white bass feeding on shad off rocky points, especially in the late evening. Wanting to get into fly fishing? Tie on a spider fly or panfish popper and work large rocks near shore or around docks. Grand: August 13. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 85°F and murky. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth bass good on plastic baits, rogues, spinnerbaits, and topwater lures around flats, shallows, and shorelines. Blue and channel catfish good on shad around flats and main lake. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on plastic baits, sassy shad, and spoons around coves and main lake. Comments: The catfish bite remains decent on the upper parts of the lake while drifting shad. Greenleaf: August 13. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 90°F and clear. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, plastic baits, spoons, and topwater lures around brush structure, points, rocks, and weed beds. Blue catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, shad, and sunfish around coves and points. Crappie slow on jigs and minnows around brush structure and docks. Report submitted by Dylan Langford, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

 

Kaw: August 14. Elevation is 1.5 ft. above normal and falling, water temperature 84°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Striped bass hybrids and white bass good on Alabama rigs, live shad, and slabs around main lake and riprap. Blue and channel catfish excellent on cut bait, shad, and shrimp around flats. Largemouth and spotted bass on crankbaits, jigs, and topwater lures around points, riprap, and shorelines. Comments: Blue and channel catfish are still feeding good in the coon creek flats. Jugline and rod-and-reel anglers are both catching lots of nice fish in the 3-15 lb. range. Early morning and late evening seem to be best. Crappie are in their summer patterns on brush piles in the main lake and those fishermen with forward facing sonars are starting to catch them in 15-20 ft. of water on jigs and minnows. The largemouth and spots are in the rip rap eating cranks and topwater lures early and late. Report submitted by Marshall Reigh, game warden stationed in Kay County.

 

Keystone: August 13. Elevation is 2 ft. above normal and falling, water temperature 83°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth bass good on lipless baits and plastic baits around channels, points, riprap, river channel, and rocks. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait, punch bait, and stinkbait around creek channels and flats. Striped bass, striped bass hybrids, and white bass good on jigs, spoons, and tube jigs around dam, flats, and main lake. Report submitted by Bailey Johnson, game warden stationed in Creek County.

 

Lower Illinois: August 11. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 59°F and clear. Rainbow trout fair on in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, and PowerBait below the dam. Comments: Best areas are below the dam and at the Watts area and best times are early morning and late evening. Report submitted by Brek Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

 

Oologah: August 11. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 80°F and stained. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits and worms around shorelines and weed beds. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish good on chicken liver and shad below the dam. Report submitted by J.D. Sooner: August 13. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 90°F and clear. Striped bass hybrids fair on crankbaits and live shad around main lake. Blue and channel catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, dough bait, stinkbait, and sunfish around main lake. Largemouth bass fair on jerk baits, plastic baits, and topwater lures around rocks and weed beds. Report submitted by Stephen Paul, game warden stationed in Noble County.

 

Spavinaw: August 13. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 84°F and stained. (USGS Lake Level) Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, jigs, and plastic baits around brush structure, main lake, and points. Channel catfish fair on cut bait and shad around flats and main lake. Crappie good on jigs and minnows around brush structure and docks. Report submitted by Kody Moore, game warden stationed in Mayes County.

 

Tenkiller: August 13. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 89°F and clear. Webbers Falls: August 13. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 90°F and stained. Foss: August 14. Elevation is below normal and stable, water temperature 82°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Striped bass hybrids fair on live bait. Walleye slow on worms. Catfish good on stinkbait. Report submitted by Eric Puyear, B & K Bait House.

Blue River: August 15. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 83°F and clear. Broken Bow: August 11. Elevation is 9 ft. below normal and falling, water temperature 90°F and clear. Eufaula: August 11. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal and rising, water temperature 83°F and murky. McGee Creek: August 11. Elevation is 1 ft. above normal and falling, water temperature 86°F and clear. Robert S. Kerr: August 11. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 85°F and stained. Texoma: August 13. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 87°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Striped bass fair on live bait, live shad, and slabs around channels, main lake, points, and river channel. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, live shad, and punch bait below the dam, channels, coves, docks, points, and river channel. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, and nymphs around brush structure, coves, and docks. Comments: Fishing this week has been good. Striper are good on live shad and slabs. Lost of fish being caught near Washita Point and Platter Flats. Catfish are being caught on live shad and cut bait.
