TULSA NONPROFIT PARTNERS WITH AGITSI STAINED GLASS FOR GALENTINE’S WORKSHOP: PUBLIC SPEAKING + MAKE A HEART

ONABEN invites Tulsa-area women and girls for a free public speaking workshop. Stay and make a stained glass heart for $25.

TULSA, Oklahoma, Feb. 9, 2023/ONABEN/ — ONABEN [Oh-NAH-behn], a national nonprofit based in Tulsa that helps underserved small business owners, is hosting a free GirlTalk Galentine’s workshop to boost public speaking confidence in women and girls. The event is from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13 at Agitsi [Ah-GEE-CHEE] Stained Glass at Art Emporium 66 on Route 66, 2615 W. 40th Place, Suite 3 in Tulsa.

Agitsi Stained Glass owner Brandi Hines is offering a $25 beginner class immediately after the workshop. Attendees will make a stained glass heart suitable for gifting or keeping. Hines is a member of ONABEN’s Women’s Cohort, which supports women business owners.

“My business and professional network have grown so much since I became active with ONABEN … I even had to get a bigger location,” Hines said. “Monday’s Galentine’s event is doubling as my open house, and offering the $25 stained glass heart class is a way I can give back and hopefully get more local women and girls involved with ONABEN.”

Women and girls interested in attending the free public speaking workshop, taught by strategic communications expert Kristen Wright, or the workshop and the $25 stained glass class may register online at https://bit.ly/ONABENGirlTalk.

ONABEN CEO Veronica Maturino, who created the GirlTalk program, conducts monthly meetings and workshops in addition to educational excursions. Most recently, she led a group of Tulsa-area junior high and high school girls to Washington, D.C.

“ONABEN supports all underserved small business owners, and GirlTalk is a way to plant the seeds that women can be wildly successful entrepreneurs while bettering themselves and their communities,” Maturino said. “Our GirlTalk program really focuses on the exponential effects of volunteerism.”
