Fishing this week has been good. Striped bass good on live shad, sassy shad, shad and small lures along channels, coves, flats, main lake and points. Striper are being caught along the north side of the Roosevelt Bridge and near the north island. Striper have been biting live shad very well. They are also being caught on swim baits near points. Blue, channel and flathead catfish fair on cut bait, dough bait, flukes, hot dogs, live bait, punch bait, stinkbait and sunfish along channels, coves, creek channels, points and river channel. Blue cats are biting on goldfish and bluegill in 20 ft. of water. Crappie fair on hair jigs, jigs, minnows and PowerBait around brush structure, coves, docks, points, rocks and standing timber. Crappie are biting near logs, brush piles and docks on minnows and jigs in 4-12 ft. of water. With the warmer days fishing is only going to get better.
