Many of the usual access points are closed due to high water. Boaters should use extreme caution; many dangerous obstacles exist due to high water and flooding. The bite is on when it comes to striper on the main lake; focus on areas from Platter Flats to the islands. Striper are schooling on the surface in early mornings and on windblown points and banks. Anglers should use live shad for the most effective method, striper are also being caught on sassy shad and topwater lures. White bass good on cut bait, jigs, live bait and small lures along flats, main lake and points. A good number of white bass are being caught at the Fobb Bottom WMA on ghost minnows. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around brush structure and docks. Crappie are still holding in about 10-12 ft. of water on brush structure, minnows and jigs are the best methods.
