Broken Arrow Man Okay after Fatality Accident in Okmulgee County

01/14/2020 – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports a fatality collision occurred January 14th at approximately 11:02 AM on US75 and 231st Street South, 2 miles north of Winchester, OK in Okmulgee County.

Jennifer Rodgers, age 60, of Mounds, Oklahoma was driving a  2015 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on 231st Street South when she failed to yield at a stop sign. She was hit by a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Jerry Orcutt, 54, of Broken Arrow.

Rodgers was pronounced dead on the scene by Okmulgee EMS Paramedic due to massive injuries sustained in the collision.  Orcutt refused treatment at the scene with hand injuries and was in good condition.

  • Cause of Collision – Failed to yield from the stop sign
  • Seatbelts – Equipped in Vehicle-1, unknown if in use by the driver.  Equipped in Vehicle-2 and in use by the driver.    
  • Airbags – Equipped in Vehicle-1 and deployed.  Equipped in Vehicle-2 and deployed.
