01/06/2020 – Northeast Elementary unveiled its brand new book vending machine in the school library Monday afternoon. They are only the 2nd school in Oklahoma to install a book vending machine.
Each side of the vending machine was designed by a Northeast student. Submitted designs were voted on by students and three winners were chosen. Congratulations to Anderson, Zayden and Cooper.
Students or teachers who see someone at school demonstrating great character can nominate them to receive a book token. Those tokens may be used to receive a new book from the machine.
Students raised the money for this machine through fundraisers. Several area organizations and businesses have pledged money to fund more books as needed.
Great job Northeast Elementary.
