Tulsa, OK., November 18, 2019 – Learning Express Toys is helping Toys for Tots bring holiday gifts to area children in need.
On Saturday, Dec. 7th, from 12 to 4 p.m., the toy store will be holding a special event. During the event, representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps. will be assisting in loading trucks provided by Jim Glover Chevrolet with toys that will be distributed to children in need during the holidays. As part of the festivities, Anna, Elsa, Baby Shark and other characters from Learning Express Toys and My Little Dollhouse will meet and greet children and their family members. Additionally, anyone who donates a $20 toy will be entered to win prizes from Nothing Bundt Cakes, Tacos 4 Life, Learning Express Toys and several other local establishments.
From October 15th through December 6th, Learning Express Toys of Tulsa will be collecting monetary donations from customers for Toys for Tots. For every $1 collected, Learning Express Toys of Tulsa will be donating $2 in toys. Many customers have already made monetary donations, while also donating toys in the drop-off box at the store.
Store owner Charlie Darrow believes in the importance of giving back to the community and families in the local area. “We are so thankful and appreciative of the Toys for Tots organization for facilitating the opportunity to give back to children in need during the holidays. We know it can be a stressful time of year for many and we’d like to ease that stress and make it a joyous time for all,” Darrow said.
