Say Yes to the Jewish Wedding Dress

Tulsa, Oklahoma—Say Yes to the Jewish Wedding Dress opening reception is Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. The exhibit is on display until January 5, 2020. Weddings for many are the happiest days of their lives. The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art is excited about our exhibit, Say Yes to the Jewish Wedding Dress. This one-of-a-kind event will feature some of the most beautiful gowns, textiles, documents, paintings, photographs, and other memorabilia from the Tulsa Jewish community. These items will proffer a tour through decades of unique nuptial attire and décor.

The wedding design expertise was done by Malyn Made Event Planning and Floral Design. Her creations of the Wedding Chupah and exhibit entrance are a one-of-a-kind design. The wedding cake for the opening reception was donated by Sweet Devotion.

The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art and community have created meaningful exhibit that provides and insight into the Jewish Wedding experience while showcasing beautiful wedding gowns from every decade going back to the 1920’s. The approach was to create an exhibit that evokes the beauty of fashion design and tell important local stories about love, history, and culture that leave a lasting impact.
