Oklahoma Aquarium Holds Sea Turtle Naming Contest

One member of the public will name the Oklahoma Aquarium’s famed loggerhead sea turtle
In honor of our loggerhead sea turtle’s 25th birthday, the Oklahoma Aquarium asks for the public’s help in giving him a name. People are invited to submit their best names online at OKAquarium.org now through October 1, 2019. The aquarium will select five names as finalists, then the public will vote for their favorite name. Voting will take place in person at the Oklahoma Aquarium, and voters will receive an “I Voted” sea turtle sticker.
The winning name will be revealed at the aquarium’s Sea Turtle Birthday Party on November 9, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. Festivities will include special treats, gifts, and fun activities for all. The person who submitted the winning name will receive an Oklahoma Aquarium prize pack and free admission to the party.

The Oklahoma Aquarium is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so all money collected through admission, memberships, and events goes directly to our exhibits and education programs.
